Emily Chen, a stylist, salon owner & educator, has spent much of her two decades behind the chair dedicated to mentoring & helping other stylists & salon owners grow. 

“I love watching someone have that lightbulb moment - the moment it all just clicks. You can see it in their eyes, and then you get to watch them take it and run with it! If you’re lucky, sometimes you get to watch them pay it forward too later on.” Chen said. “It’s a ripple effect & probably one of the most rewarding parts of my job as a mentor & educator.”

Emily is both a colorist & a cutter. She specializes in blonding & color corrections, as well as dry-cutting. Her favorite topics to discuss include consultations, business & leadership. 

When not behind the chair, or in a classroom, she spends her time eating her way around the world. Emily is an adventurous foodie and loves learning about food, cooking & culture.
